Last week, my friends Franco Holder and Charles Asch recorded this cello and piano duet I wrote for them. They're incredible performers, and they make this sound like the best composition I've written.

DIZZY: GoPro Taped to a Soccer Ball
Last summer, my friend Pete and I went out to kick the soccer ball around, and I decided to try taping a GoPro camera to my ball. It made for a really fun video.
Red Leaf Rhapsody
Just a quick post here with my new autumn-inspired composition, performed by the Lux String Quartet this weekend.
Kim of the Sunset
My friend Jeff Schwinghammer filmed a mini documentary about a scooter-driving woman in San Fransisco, and he asked me to write "ambient surf-ish music" for it. Sounded right up my alley.
The OkCupid Quest
I had a lot of fun making this video for our announcement of our live film scoring quest.
Rhymes With Love

“Finish Line” – A Duet for Bassoon and Trombone
This weekend marked the end of the Fortune Cookie Songwriting Quest. Our compilation album is going to be a pretty interesting mix of vocal and instrumental tracks from all over the world. I'll tell you more about them in an upcoming post. In the meantime, I thought I'd share my fortune cookie-inspired bassoon and trombone duet, plus some composing tips for these bass clef instruments.
“Gold in the Streets of Albuquerque” – A Breaking Bad-Inspired Song
I wrote this song from the perspective of Walter White, the nihilistic druglord of the Breaking Bad series. I can't wait to see how the final episode turns out!
Experiments in the Revival of Organisms: A Trailer
A short film of mine premiered last night at St. Paul's Northern Spark festival, with the short film group I contribute to called MNKino. The theme was "arrivals and departures," and I had no idea what I was going to make until midnight the night before it was due. I was browsing archive.org and found a disturbing, but fascinating 1940 film documenting experiments on reviving dogs from the dead.
